Hello! My name is Mrs.
Abuyo. You're probably wondering how a girl from Willard, Missouri (don't
worry, no one knows where it is) found her way to Kansas City, via
Orlando, FL. Well, here's the story.
About the age of 5 I
always knew I wanted to work for Disney. I didn't care what I did, I
just wanted to work for the "Mouse". Throughout high school, while the
rest of my friends were deciding what they were going to do for the rest
of their lives, I was deciding how I was getting to Walt Disney World. I began
college at Southwest Missouri State (it's MSU now) and decided to major
in Elementary Education. Disney History was not an option. I soon discovered something called the "Walt Disney
World College Program." In '98, I took off a semester and began working
for Disney. I worked at Sega inside Epcot. You guessed it, I played
video games all day long. While working there, I had the pleasure of
meeting a man that would later become my husband. I went back to school
but continued to spend my summers working at Walt Disney World. After
graduating in 2002, I made a permanent move to Orlando. Instead of going
back to work at Walt Disney World, I decided to focus on my other
passion, helping kids love what they're learning. After three years of
teaching at Three Points Elementary, my husband applied for a transfer
back to the Midwest and here we are. We live in our house in
Raytown with our two dogs, Yoshi and Oscar. They have their own
page. Click

While teaching, I
developed a love for children's literature. Recently, I obtained my Master's Degree as a
Media Specialist from Florida State University.
